One of our 10 gig network switches is kinda loud, so the obvious solution is to water cool it.

0.1mm gap on a heat exchanger is really high. Things should be basically pressure fit. Why do you think thermal paste is a thing on a cpu? Because a fraction of a mm gap is worse than not having a heatsink on at all in many cases. It's the difference between 40 and 95 degrees. A pocket of air will reach far higher temps than if it was exposed to open air. That thing is now probably running hotter than before...

There are so many water cooling videos you are doing. Isn't there something else that you guys do besides water-cooling stuff? It's getting a bit predictable and boring, this channel. ☹️

That is definitely 7800 RPM... Not 78000.

78000 would have went that bit into a million pieces around the shop.

Alex needed to check that you can put multiple heat sources on a heatpipe. The main laptop reviewer at LMG had to check something he very easily could see on a regular basis.

wouldn't it just have been better to just put in some more 40mm fans in there, for example from noctua, and reduce the fan speed?

So you bricked that $800 Network Switch but we’re too embarrassed to admit it... That bit of acting at the end, with the “file transfer”, was pretty bad.. Facing the screen away, amateur hour. I’m not the only one who saw you short that power supply at 20:00.. I’m thinking the reason you lied is that there’s no chance of anyone else out there seeing this video and trying to do it themselves. So you just decided, “Let’s just lie and pretend it all worked. No one will ever know we destroyed a very expensive Network Switch.”

You really need to fire Alex and hire someone that knows what they’re doing.

PLEASE GOD, DON’T LET ALEX ANYWHERE NEAR A $40,000 RED CAMERA. Enough is enough, he conned his way into the job but by now you should see that he has no clue what he’s doing. Not even a basic understanding of machining or building. He’s utterly incompetent and lazy, I doubt he could even build a Lego set without half asking it and doing it completely wrong. Please hire someone else to handle fabrication and machining, so these videos/projects can be successful and decent. Literally anyone who’s taken a few community college classes could do a infinitely better job than him. Hell, anyone who’s watched a dozen YouTube Tutorials could do a better job than him.
