Don’t understand some of the comments on this show at all.

As a dance teacher, I can honestly say there are countless was to execute a contemporary routine. This is one of them. Contemporary isn’t always soft and sweet. This is actually a pretty common form of contemporary so idk what jlo was talking about. She did show emotion throughout both in her body movements and her face. Plus, not to mention that nobody should put halt to a style of a genre that they haven’t seen before. This IS contemporary, it’s just another form. Period.

This fr could have had so much potential I was so glad she went through over the other girls but this lacked in many places....

So, I didn't keep up with this year's WOD..
But this performance was both amazing and terrible, if that makes sense.


She did swell and I love the slight fusion between contemporary and locking.. That was a breath of fresh air and that alone makes this performance amazing, along with her game-face and battle-like attitude.
But at the same time, you can hear differences in the song.. Meaning that it was edited in. Meaning, that this song was supposed to be hit on a little harder than she did, musicality wise. The potential was there, and because of my high standards for this song.. It kind of made the performance fall flat in a few areas. But she did bring it back, so I'd give this performance an edge. 7.5/10

Everytime they get ready to say "needs EMOTIONS" i get so pissed off, that was an AMAZING PREFORMANCE, and she at plenty of ENERGY AND EMOTION. CONFIDENCE IS A FEELING AND IT COURSES THROUGH YOU. fuvk wrong wit y'all? I've been dancing for 15 years, this pulled me through the screen.

This was unbelievable on so many levels, the incredible performance and Jlo’s comment amount about lacking emotion. Wtf

I really think that Jlo shouldn’t be a judge because she sucks. All she talks about is emotion and telling a story but can she even do that herself. Plus the dancer was oozing with confidence and that’s an emotion that the whole audience even people watching at home can feel.

I’m sorry but after watching briar nolet u can see she struggles and ik it’s not easy but her transitions aren’t smooth. And there’s kinda that stuck up look on face the whole time when she can at least look fierce for the dance since the song doesn’t match the dance at all.

Loved how the two blonde girls at the start were "yeah, yeah, you don't scare us, we can do it just as good, come on give it to us, gurl"
And then they clapped so happily and satisfied by her talent

I was so unimpressed. I didn't feel amazed. I will admit it had some moves that I enjoyed but I was bored. She was also incredibly cocky that wasn't confidence in my eyes.
