Bet you didn't notice this crossbow cerise told born was the one tyrion used to kill his dad was the same crossbow tyrion used to kill his dad.
The assassin was sent by little finger not the lanisters.

Davos was being a verbage nazi because Stannis the Mannis corrected Davos when he said "less" and Stannis said "fewer" in reference to how many finger nails he has to clean. Which was fewer than before Stannis cut off 4 of them. That's the call back not cuz he wuz an illiterate smuggler. I still think less was an acceptable choice but whatevs.

Aye just so ya know, Qyburn did not invent scorpions, they were used before to kill myaxia, but when there were no longer dragons they faded into memory. He essentially reinvented them.

                                          Should also note that

Aemon Targaryn was the rightful heir, and turn down the throne, turned down love, to serve the rest of his days in the nights watch. It pained him knowing what was going on in the world and Duty kept him from helping his family in their greatest need.

Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryn), the current rightful heir, turns down the throne, turned down love, to serve the rest of his days in the nights watch. When Jons father was murdered, and brother marched, it pained Jon that he had to refuse the call to join his family in their greatest need, just like Aemon.

                                            Thats Joffrey's Crossbow.

The same crossbow Joffrey used to murder the whores, and to practice shooting with Margery
Tywin claims the Crossbow after Joffreys death, Tyrion finds it in Tywins Chamber and uses it to kill Tywin.
Qyburn gives Joffreys Crossbow to Bronn.

since Joffrey didn't know he was a Lannister and not a Baratheon...does that really count as the Lannisters sending the hitman when he more than likely did it?that dagger was won by Robert Baratheon in that bet (Tyrion would never bet against Jaime in a fight and Petyr bet on Jaime in that tourney but Loras beat him) and Joffrey more than likely send an assassin to kill Bran so that he could, in his own puerile and sadistic mind, impress his father much like he thought he would when he showed him the dead kittens of the pregnant kitchen cat he killed...but all that aside, I'd be more inclined to want to know where the catspaw dagger originated from and how Petyr Baelish got a hold of it in the first place

Seeing his enemies dying like flies, his lust for power intensified and clouded his narcissistic battle strategies and judgement to make the right call did him in against the Boltons.

Duty above all took a back seat as his psychotic unquenchable thirst for power resurfaced.
Stannis despite Ser Davos objections took his daughter Shireen both as collateral damage and as the sacrifice to battle.and at the behest of the red woman offered up and sacrificed Shireen by burning his 7 year old daughter at the stakes.Carrying out his Duty was not the case here, neither was a last ditch effort to turn the war around.
Simply put? the mad genes of the Targeryians his DNA took the center stage
