  • Learn how to replace the ENTIRE front suspension of your car in this two episode series. First I will show you how to remove the wheel bearing, ball joints, control arms, tie rod, strut, and axle.

The ball joint and wheel bearing has to be pressed out of the knuckle and I have a bunch of tips and tricks to make that easy. The upper control arm ball joint and tie rod can get stuck in the knuckle so I show some tricks on how to easily remove that. The rest of the suspension parts are pretty simple to remove and replace.

Did you guys get notified by YouTube that the video was posted? Also when you watched the video, was there a screen that said "this video was flagged by the YouTube community and may be offensive" or something like that? Just wanted to check because I had issues last night which is why I had to postpone publishing the video. I hope it's all fixed and you guys learn a lot from the video! Stay tuned for the next video and then for a video that, well, covers a life changing event ;)

I've watched this video a hundred times at this point, so I felt pretty confident when I went to change most of my front suspension aside from axles on my 04' TL. First problem, could not take off the axle nut so I took it to a shop and gave them 5 bucks to break it for me. After getting the brake caliper off the upper ball joint bolt would NOT come off for anything..I stripped the bolt trying. Disappointed I'm gonna have to pay a mechanic..

I have a 2009 Pontiac G5 that the steering wheel vibrates a lot when hitting a certain speed (around 100/kmh). I have a good hunch that that's what it is and from what I hear it's a pretty easy fix, but would love to see your take on this video. Thank you for your hours upon hours of knowledge/entertainment. Just a suggestion for removing the ball joints: I usually remove the bottom ball joint first, since the top ball joint is still connected, it still has tension and is pulling up which helps encourage the bottom ball joint to pop out. Also, now that the bottom ball joint is out, gravity is pulling harder on the top ball joint which will help that one pop out. When I do it like this, many times I can give the knuckle a whack on the side and the ball joint will pop out by itself. Add a little penetrant beforehand too.

                                                                    • Happyville27
