Your a idiot....I bought a brand new Toyota 2000 Celica and it was NOT $15,000 it was fully loaded and cost $26,000. I had that car 19 yrs and never had one bit a problem or any major repair of any kind. It drove like a dream and it was the best car I ever had. I LOVED my Celica and the only reason I sold her was due to health reasons I could no longer drive. Yeah but know it all!

I hsve a 98 Caviler with a leaky main seal. It's got 325,000. Would it be worth fixing or keep adding oil? It's going to cost more to fix it than what I paid for the car. The engine and 5-speed feels Bulletproof though.

Scotty your talking about the 7th gen Celica there was 2 models the gts is the one your talking about the motor blowing up with the Yamaha 2 zz motor that model had lift and made 180 hp. The gt model burned oil from 2000 too 2002. so I get the 2003 or newer Celica gt because Toyota fixed the oil burning. Plus the ,7th generation Celica looks more aggressive and more of a sports car than the 90s celicas.

The 2000 celica gt is made by toyota only 2000-2002 had piston ring issues which caused them to smoke. The 2000- 2005 gts was a yamaha/ toyota built car which is a good car and I had one prior that had 240,000 miles original engine, I have 80,000 miles on a 2000 GTS right now, reliable cars they just have to be taken care of. I use Redline oil in both of them

All BLOWN 2zzge engines were caused by the tight shift gate in the manual transmission models. This would cause mis shifts and any car not just the celica gts will get bent valaves causing the engine to seize. This was later addressed in 02 models and onward. The oil pump only fails in very hard cornering at high rpms. I’m getting tired of having to explain this all the time 😑

Congress is also considering road taxes of miles driven. Toll roads become inescapable unless you ride public transportation.
