          You just explain to me why I love egg noodles! I always boil my pasta in salty water therefore my egg noodles are nice and salty so I don’t have to salt my food as much. I had no idea!

                      Oil to pasta water keeps the bubbles from building up. The oil reduces the surface tension of the bubbles. It does NOT make the pasta greasy. Only takes about a tablespoon of oil to a pot of water. The oil also drains out when the water is drained floats so its the first to drain out when poured.

                                  No, you don't break it in half. Why would you get noodles that long and straight just to break them in half. I can not even watch when they are broken in half, i have to look away. How can you break spaghetti in half and not fear the rage of triggered viewers? I think this is the most offensive scene i ever watched.

                                              Don't want to cry while cooking onions? KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!! It does help!!! Breathe ONLY through your nose and don't talk! Try it! You'll see I'm right! Or have a tums or rolaids in your mouth at the time if the onion is especially potent due to coming from a drought region.

                                                                If you would boil 1l of water and add 120g of salt (That is a lot ;) ) the boiling point would be elevated by 2,1K.

                                                                Most certainly not relevant for cooking. But use a lid for your pot.

                                                                    When I cook spaghetti I break it in half and stand it up in the pot and as it cooks it falls down and doesn't stick together which is an advantage. The second advantage is that I don't have to turn it around my fork as many times when I eat it.
                                                                    What are the disadvantages of breaking it in half?

                                                                      The fact an Italian will look at you with horror if you even cut cooked spaghetti goes to show how seriously they take their pasta. Same goes with Cappuccino at any other time of the day than mid-morning - its just not done and if you do, you will forever be labelled as a heathen.
