I will always refer to Steve Hughes' comedy about people being offended, especially when it's in a comedy environment. Nothing happens when you are offended. It's not like you are offended and then the next day you wake up with leprosy. People don't care if you are offended. Grow the fuck up and deal with it. "But he was a dick to me." Don't worry about it. It's called life. If I didn't have the humor growing up as a minority in America as a Chinese-American to deal with racism and prejudice, I would've probably died long time ago.

The only thing wrong with this special was that it was only an hour long. We need more!!

The rotten tomatoes audience to critic review percentage is dave's last indirect joke to that show

This review was surprisingly wholesome. Apparently, it is possible to talk about controversial things without freaking out. Makes me feel kinda good listening to it.

All i say is that if a White/non Black comedian made jokes using n-words and other racist slurs, Chappelle wouldn't be like "that's so funny and provocative". I hate people like this, if you're on with the whole "not politically correct" thing that's cool, but keep the same fucking energy when someone say anything that offends you or the group you're included in.

if a friend of mine hangs himself and after I while I watch in tv a comedy special when someone talks about ropes, I may feel bad. But this is how life works. If you want always to be in a safe space, you are not acting like an adult person. Life has no "safe space". My two cents.

I think America tries to scare it's citizens into giving up their confidence to outside forces, which leads to safespaces, trying to control the world around them by force because they're 'helpless" and need to make sure it's super controlled.

I watched Sticks and Stones without even knowing what kind of reviews it got. All i saw was "Dave Chappelle" and I thought "OH I LOVE THAT GUY! HE'S HILARIOUS!" and decided to watch it all the way through. AND YEAH! IT WAS REALLY FUNNY! I missed his unfiltered style! and not once EVER did I hear him say something homophobic, bigoted, transphobic, or whatever. Dave Chappelle never presents material that promotes hatred, and that is the bottom line. He may talk about uncomfortable situations, scenarios, and topics, but like a great comedian, he mostly just points out the absurdity behind culture! I loved his performance! I can't wait for another!

I gave you the like, because this video was awesometacular! I will make the one complaint that I don't like you suggesting all of Hollywood is horrendously PC, because there are a lot of actors... and scriptwriters and directors and producers for that matter who are just as sick of this PC bullshit as you and I are. Anyway... just the one thing I wanted to mention in one of the vids of yours I am totally down with. You and I are not always on the same page with some things... and that makes me a little sad only because I think you are pretty awesome and I like it when we share views... but to each there own! Keep up the great work, sir!

I was offended at his comedy, but that’s what it’s all about. You don’t watch comedy thinking it’s not going to be offensive. So, yes. I was offended. But I laughed harder than I remember laughing before.

"Controversial", as redefined by mainstream (white) America: "When a non-white person says or does something that shoves the hypocrisy of white America down their throats". Here are a few from Dave Chappelle's Sticks & Stones: "Just Say No", "this is how I feel inside", didn't like school either, but NEVER considered killing everyone in it", "if a woman chooses not to have an abortion, the father should have a choice to not pay child support", "the best way to expedite gun reform, is for all blacks to register to carry a firearm". The lesson learned is, be very careful ridiculing others; The chickens just may come home to roost.

There is something cathartic about having a stand-up comedian take the piss out of cancel culture, the alphabet people, and so much stuff that you normally are not allowed to talk about. I wasn't offended in the slightest, even with stuff I didn't personally agree with. I'm glad to see some comedians are still willing to be controversial.

I think he wrote a lot of really clever jokes and I see why a lot of people like it but I just wasn't on the same wavelength. I really liked the transgender restroom joke though.

Guide theLight That's my opinion too. It wasn't that offensive, and it was funny, but Dave's done better than this.

I think "Sticks and Stones" is getting more credit than it deserves because of the Rotten Tomatoes score. It started off at 0%, which is insane, and is currently at 31%, which is way too low. The audience overcompensated for that, and I don't blame them, but I think that they don't love it as much as they claim to.

If it had gotten 70% (which is what I would've scored it), then the audience score would probably have been around the same.

Like that part where he was like "what if I was Chinese inside this nigga body?"" And he did that like big stretching gesture 😂😂 idk ....everything he does just cracks me the fuck up. I especially love how he challenges the stupid fucking SJW morons and basically baited them into bitching about his new special. They totally fucking took the bait and did nothing but prove him right and make the idiotic PC police Fuck wits looks even more retarded.
