Thank you Paul! Looks like I will get that Ryzen 3 16 core at some point, wins in single-thread performance over my r7 1700.

which one you would chose for cad 2/3d (autocad, inventor, solidworks etc.) and gaming on 1080p or 1440p on 144hz?

Where's frametime graphs, dude?! )) I've herad that AMD 3900X has less even (less smooth) frametime over 9900K...

I came here looking for some positive reinforcement after I already ordered a 3700x and gamers Nexus weren't particularly impressed with the chip.

            Thank you for reassuring me.

The 3700x is a great CPU. It has everything to crush the others, performance, power, price. I am in the process of building a new PC since my current one is pretty old (still using FM2+) was about to lose my mind and buying the 3900x, but it seams to me the 3700x is the clear winner is many tests I see on YT.

                        Thank you for sharing Paul.

you have to overclock my 3700x hit 4.4ghz on all core at 1.4 volt but you need aftermark cooler for that voltage

Help me please?! Hello Paul, I liked the comparison video. But I was unsure, would the best processor be the 9700k or the 3800x to work with video editing? I want to equip with an RTX 2060, 16gb 3000mhz ram, ssd and hd. tks - bye Brasil

Broadwell architecture, same one Intel used in 15' it's been handed down to AMD tactically,Intel realized that almost all in the gaming world which makes up about 60% of pc users wouldn't be using their PC's for editing and workstation,no money there for Intel, that's why they aren't going crazy with core count or threads,we know, they know, that a high powered simple cpu will always yield maximum gaming performance.AMD is sucking in people that rely on marketing hype for their decisions,Intel is watching and laughing because they know when everyone catches on and the hammer falls that they will retain their loyal gaming customers while making gradual and realistic future designs.

You are completely ignoring anything outside of gaming. I do a lot of code compiling at work and my 3900x’s 32 threads/16 cores blasts through everything I do. Intel’s competitor for such tasks is over £1000. It’s not all about gaming.

I am enjoying the fact that AMD is making water cooling look a bit silly unless it's for noise reduction. That kinda came and went it looks like....well unless you are still using Intel.

intel wins again. Higher fps in games. Who cares about 'benchmarks' like cinebench? Real world application is what matters. Intel still has more fps for lower price

Even the stats where the 3900x was almost 30% better he found a way to make the Intel sound equiv. Maybe you should just not review hardware, Paul.

Lots of fanboyism in the comments. Look I’m a intel guy but I like how AMD made a comeback since the space heater FX days. Good competition is always good. Makes the price drop. The 2700x is so much cheaper where I’m at. Sadly the 3900x is not available at my micro center but I’ve tested both platforms and rarely notice a big difference between the two companies. Granted Intel still has a edge and both companies are innovating.

Specifically covering actual testing temperatures of the chips. I just helped my friend build his first pc. He lives in California, I'm in Ohio. He had temps that sounded really high to me, and trying to find information has really been a nightmare. So many gaming/workload benchmark video's out there, none that really touch thermals. Thank you for doing a good job, and the content!
