For future referance an older than me guy showed me to chunk up the meat and as you layer it in the tote put your spice in on each layer then when you have done that grind it up. works really good and saves a lot of mixing time. Al

Its only my opinion, and yes, everyone has one... but, I don't feel that breeding should be made to sound cute, or related to "fun" when describing what's happening. Young minds are very impressionable.

Fun fact...salt comes in little shakers you can place on your table while you're eating. That way, if you feel it's required, you can add salt to anything. There is no convenient way to remove salt while you're eating as yet.
Also, you can limit the number of grinds so that you end up with sausage that's not too "smooth". Most people enjoy chewing their food, particularly meat.

Al, you should have a receptacle at the milking stand to eliminate the extension cord for the milking equipment.

Come on All! As many animals as I've processed over the years, I've never saw the equipment that you guy's were using to package your meat but instead of letting us see how it worked you sped up the video so fast that it was impossible to see how some of it worked. I was really interested in the equipment but as far as I'm concerned the video there was a fail.
Now for those that are going to jump in and ridicule my comment, I wasn't talking to you! This is my opinion.
All, as far as your video though I still give it a thumbs up but please don't be in such a hurry to get through some things. These are the reasons we watch you.
Have a great Thanksgiving guys, you and all your viewers.

You need a garden cart. The sides can fold down to move larger things like wood, and you could load it up with the hay, water, feed and tools you need to move. You are handy enough to modify the handle to make it possible to pull it with the tractor if you need to. They can hold up to 400 pounds usually.

Hey Al, re: your ground pork/breakfast sausage conundrum. Why not make it all into ground pork? If you want to have sausage for breakfast, just make your patties and then sprinkle salt, pepper, and sage on them to order. This gives you the most flexibility with your product.
BTW - nice sausage stuffer! Can you tell us who makes it? Thanks!
p.s. Be careful using that plunger w/o the safety guard, if you push down too far the worm gear will take a chunk right off it....ask me how I know - lol

****TIP**** save some time. They make the stuffer attachment that goes right onto the grinder. So on the second grind you can put meat straight into the bags. Saves for time and clean up.

Your sausage looks good, but I would have to add black or red pepper to mine. Next year get your some casings and stuff some to smoke. Your grinder should have come with a stuffing tube so you don't have to use your casing stuffer. Just get an on/off pedal that you plug your grinder into, that way you can stop when you need to change casings or bags.
