Favourite video yet, so useful.
First, you need to get that truck out of your shop with that desecrated flag
You get an upvote just for using the word "everyday" correctly on the internet (-:
But Wzard (and maybe you answered this), can't a catalytic efficiency code be a simple bad rear o2 sensor if not a heater code?
Mr. Wizard is that a 1969 Cadillac sedan deville?
Whoever doesn't know any of the stuff mentioned in this vid shouldn't drive a motorcar.
but what about the headlight fluid?
Wizard my girl tells me I have a crank like a big block and a 9 speed azz. Is that a compliment? Don’t know car terms not a gear head.
another comment about health....take care of your knees...there is no reason to sacrifice them at such a young age....use tables, chairs, and help.....etc
Ow much for a Tesla oil change?
The mic quality is so much better. It wasn't really a problem before, but it sounds so much better now.
Another, no work Scotty type video. How can u push tools on your store, we've never seen you use. Lots of same cars in shop, same ones.. what's gives? Nice fellow, lazy maybe? I dunno
Diagnosed with ligma
Not rubber .
Great video Wizard! Very informative!
Oh All-Knowing Car Weeeeeeeeeeeeezard... I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX with 150K miles...3.6l V6 that I have been chasing a gremlin on. When it's really hot out, ( AZ Temps of 109 and hotter outside ), the car hesitates from a stop after driving for a while. I step on the gas but it hesitates/stumbles then suddenly lunges forward full acceleration until I let off the gas. I've had the Throttle Position Sensor & Body changed. I've had the MAF sensor changed. I've had the Crankcase Ventilation Hose system changed. I couldn't get the metal "pvc" pipe out of the passenger side valve cover out to see if it was clogged. I know the common problem is that the holes in it are too small but I couldn't pop it out of the valse cover so I sprayed contact cleaner in there like crazy to hopefully clean it out. Then changed the oil and ran the car but no change. Car still hesitates when extreme heat out and some miles put on the car. Now I'm thinking the piston rings are worn and I'm building up too much pressure in the bottom of the engine or...the transmission shifting computer is going bad for the 1st gear...or....the accelerator pedal sensor is going bad?
Idea... myths vs facts.... once synthetic you can't go back. Synthetic leaks more..., back pressure on exhaust or is it really extraction that make more power? So on and so on... keep on wrenching... thanks!
Shouldn't you mention that turning on the defroster will engage the compressor? Do they still do that?
The world needs more people like you. 👍
I'd like to see a buy this not that on 1/2-3/4 ton trucks. I'll be able to spend 10k in a few months. My 02 S10 is nothing but regret.
This is a great video, explaining what is serious and what is not so serious. Really hope you do some follow up videos in this series.
The check engine light also has got a nickname. Call it the "money light".
Excellent well explained video!
What’s the best oil filter on the market,,,,there are so many. And all are built differently,,can’t decide for my 2005 Monte,,,I like to give her the best......love your stuff,,,never miss any of them,,,,thanks for everything....jim
You should make this a series. One of my favorite videos yet
My ac compressor is locked up.. oohh noo hehe
More videos like this one ! =)
id like to know where hoovie gets all of his money to buy junk. he just throws money away. i wished i could afford to do that LOL
wizard you should tell bedtime stories I like you're very calm demeanor it's very relaxing
I think what gets people is not that one thing thats bad, but all the items that you must replace along the way since you in there already. You get a diagnosis for a bad headgasket, so just replace the gasket, fair enough? No, since youre in there now you also have to do the timing belt, oh and since you doing the timing belt now you have to do the water pump, and the bill starts getting astronomical
500 years ago you would have been burned at the stake wizard what spell did you have to cast to grow your hair back so quick
Valve cover leaks, spark plugs covered in oil, super gross and annoying since the rubber boot type spark plug remover starts to slip.
Thank you for your videos, Car Wizard. I feel like I finally understanding of how my cars work. I appreciate the stuff you post on your channel, because I think many of us just don’t understand what is going on.
Awesome info Wizzard. Ta eh
I like that he's so calm about this. Most of the car mechanics I know are batshit crazy and get even more annoyed when asked about "trivial" stuff.
This is awesome, Wizard. Great info.
I subscribed but then unsubscribed 'cause, boredom. Sorry bro. You are talented. Stick to your jam.
I like how the link to the video ends in Ass.
I learned one from Kilmer...Money-Pit.
Hi car wizard, I'm press wizard. A guy at work was looking for a "how to" for his car and found your channel. Then they told me they found my doppelganger. If you were more bald I'd agree. My response after I watched one of your videos was, "He even makes people around him awkward just like me." Cheers. :)
Great video! Thanks looking forward to more!
Great video Wizard. I knew some of it but I learnt some things and you explain it very well. "The computer doesn't have eyes, how does it know that that just opened?" LOL
How do you know if your O2 sensor is bad and not the Cat?
I've been driving the same Subaru for 17 years. Seals, gaskets and leaking cooling systems are well known.
Your tip with the toothbrush WORKED LIKE A CHARM - i had some small misfires so i used a toothbrush and some carb/throttle body clearer , all gone - HUGE THANKS (you have your fans in Israel as well :) )
Wizard... your hair has grown back... someone cast a spell on you.
It was Folicus existius cranius....
When talking about the AC compressor you should mention how it engages even in the winter when the defrost is on
'70s and '80s Volvos needed a much more comprehensive throttle body cleaning, especially the ones with turbos. Those engines had no PCV valve, just a breather that scavenged the crankcase gases and a small vacuum hose that went from the manifold side of the throttle body to the crankcase. The breather has an air/oil separator but a significant amount of oil mist still reached the TB. Every Fall I had to remove the TB and IAC valve to clean it out or it would stall immediately after starting in winter. It took half a can or more of cleaner, with special attention to the idle passage which was often blocked solid after a year's use and the IAC, which was normally completely jammed by deposits. I learned about those on a forum, where I found it was universal for those models.
Toyota hybrids have a flywheel but no clutch! The first generation had a "torque limiter" that is like a clutch that is always engaged with calibrated pressure to prevent the engine from being torn apart if the transaxle seizes. That never happens so I think the torque limiter was eliminated in Hoovie's second gen Prius, but the transaxle works better with a flywheel to stabilize the ICE.
