I thought a Machinist Relay is a track and field event where the first machinist gets the baton to some state of completeness, doesn't tell the next guy what needs to be done, pulls a random fuse, hides the keys to the shop, and then hands the baton to the next guy. First team to pass the finish line with a fully machined baton wins.

@AvE I heard the cops are looking out for a guy who's been breaking into local craft shops and dipping his testicles in the glitter. Yeah, it's pretty nuts...

Use hard wax, not foam. Melt it in, machine, usually you can just dig it out.

The DOW foam out of the can is hard to control flow, but the DOW contractor gun with the larger thread-on cans works great, can reduce flow all the way to zero with a knob on the back of the gun. I've learned the hard way to keep it clean though and leave the DOW cleaner (comes in thread-on cans to run through gun) in the gun so foam does not dry inside, but otherwise, this is far more efficient than the single use expanding foam cans. Also, the black plastic tips are a must in my experience as they allow deeper access to small gaps and make cleaning the gun tip easier.

I think you could have also put some harmonic dampener on the opposite side of the cuts to prevent buildup of harmonic resonance which probably contributed to the breakage.

That foam is pretty garbage. A 2-part epoxy poured in the channel would hold significantly better.

Use some of those sweet patreon dollars and buy some 136°F Eutectic Fusible Alloy. Fun to play with and great for temporarily fusing parts for machining. Cheap too!

My co-worker had one that caught fire while working, and id rather have it disposed of in either a safe manor or in a spectacular manor on camera.

I would value your opinion and or discussion on if you think this is this a viable energy source. It's certainly not the usual half baked doesn't resemble reality in the slightest quackery. There is some very real physics to the claim. Please take some time to veiw it. You can reach me at jimklima at rocketmail dot com. Keep up the good work on the videos. Amusing as they are they have proved time and again to be very helpful.
