Hello Zach, in your first video you said “I’m concerned about the disconnect between farmers and consumers” I’m not a full time farmer and i had no idea about half the things i know now if it wasn’t for your channel lets just say you accomplished your goal. I started watching on the harvest of 2017 and i was hooked, and 300k subs later you still carry on the super entertaining videos about your daily life. Not some hyped up 16 year old doing exaggerated activities and putting it on youtube, just your daily life. And we love it! Keep these amazing videos coming and i hope you never stop uploading.

The only downside to Farming as an Occupation is the Cost. Good Luck starting a Farm if you don’t have Family already in the Business. Yes you can dip your Toes in the Water as a Helper if you have Experience, or a Job with a Custom Combining outfit, but Family in the Game IS the Name of the Game.

Edit— I suppose I should qualify this Post. Consumers complain about “Factory” Farming. You can’t make it anymore with a 40 Acre Homestead.

Hey Zach, your videos are great keep them coming! My 2 cents on a product that prevents corrosion in fertilizer spreaders, salt spreaders etc is Fluid Film. You should give it a try, I work at Sydenstricker Implement (John Deere dealer) in Columbia MO, we keep it in stock so your local dealer may have it. Stinky stuff but I'd swear by it.

The Romafa meter housings are great, we sell about a dozen a year to go on 1910's. They work very well.

Never use water to clean fertilizer! Just use pressure air and then soak everything in an mix of 80-90 oil and diesel! Water just makes the corrosion worse.

Just started watching your videos this week. Love them!!! ...gonna have to watch the older ones. Our ground is also totally saturated with all the rain we had. The ditches are full of water just like the spring. I have a ring of water around my Winnipeg house, that has not gone away for two weeks. Good luck on the harvest!!!

I do striptilling with a 16 row John Deere 2510H striptiller pulling a 1910 cart. With a new cart I have issues with those plastic meter doors right away. A heads up, if your meter setting adjusting crank gets hard to turn, its the pivot point that gets dry and dirty and wont pivot. Its the piece your threaded part of the crank goes through that's held on with a bracket and two small bolts bolted to your gear box beside the main crank handle. Unscrew the little plug that's in the center of the pivot pin and put a grease zerk in there and give it a little grease.
