0:27 If you are serious about the needs for caution when trusting a dealership you could at least give the case citation for the court case you are referring to. You have performed a good story but you have to tighten it up with some evidence that it actually happened too big man. PS I admire your positive energy.

It really must suck to be a car dealer. Getting screwed over for factory recalls of engineering fatal flaws. Corporate execs only fear lawsuits when people die.
Look at crap Boeing 737 Max as prime example. Hey you aholz!!! Your grandpappys engineered better than all you ratz.
Smokey Yunick fought with GM for years.
      The "mystery" Hot Vapor engine?
Water jacketed carburetor. Turbo kept fuel as a vapor. 50mpg in 2300lb Car with 1300cc engine. 14 second 1/4 mile.
      No ECU and injection nonsense.
Like he said: "Most Detroit Engineers, couldn't engineer their way out of a paperbag!"

So we all hate car dealers. 120 years ago we would be beeching about snaggle tooth, sway back mares at the town stable.

The most distressing aspect of legalese is that no one in the judicial process cares to make the appropriate amendments that would guarantee true justice in the legal system. The whole system is purposely ambiguous to allow for such outrageous absurdities.

lol, dealership mechanics either over tighten everything or not at all. I had to use a breaker bar to remove the oil filter housing on my RAV4. And they always overfill the oil.

I've got that guy from Michigan beat. When I was a valet, I remember getting a car in - a late 2000s Mazda Tribute (Ford Escape) smoking like a chimney from under the hood. The smell was awful. The 3 young ladies inside were perplexed: "OMG WHICH car is it? It's followed us all the way from Knoxville!" I live in Nashville, which is 3 hours away. I had the driver shut it down and pop the hood. As I opened it, I asked them if they'd recently worked on the car. They said they'd had an oil change done at a Toyota dealership in Knoxville earlier that day, just before they set off on their trip. The panel on the bottom of the hood was absolutely dripping with oil. The fuel rail, valve cover, coil packs, exhaust manifold, and literally everything else were absolutely covered with oil. The oil cap was sitting on the radiator, where the tech had placed it to fill the engine oil. At least he filled it, but next time he should put the cap back on to keep it from shooting out the top of the engine. The oil level did not register on the dipstick at all. I was floored that 1. A dealer tech would make such an incomprehensible error. 2. They drove 3 hours smelling the oil smoldering on the exhaust and never thought to pull over, and 3. That the vehicle even made it. Guess those little things have a pretty solid engine.

The question to ask is were the lug nuts loose when the car was brought in? How can you perform a tire rotation when you must take off the lug nuts first? I guess the mechanic wouldn't be liable if he manually dismounted the tire from the rim while it was still on the car then remounted the tire on another rim that was still on the car.
