Lots of whacky computer water cooling projects have been attempted before, but none as crazy as concrete - and it turns out it works amazingly.

What if you increase the water to concrete ratio?

Linus, try adding a concrete plasticiser. It will make it a few times more runny with same amount of water.

Chemistry behind plasticizers is mind blowing.

ok, i know this is an april fools thing, and I am SUPER late to the party... but seriously. DO NOT DO THIS. it may work for a little while, but concrete is literally built to be something that hardens. AND Quiccrete (sry 4 spelling) is made to harden even QUICKER. I mean, come on!! If you want to destroy a few good systems for a liquid ceramic that sets anywhere from 40 minutes, to 10 minutes, and it totally not worth the practicality of it, then fine. But at least someone put the warning out there.

if you add sugar cement can't set up so this could be a real thing especially if you made it more watery

Haha wow, you can really tell they've never seen quikrete before, And why'd they use a mixer?? I used to mix concrete in a bobcat bucket with a shovel, they could've just put that amount into a cup hahaha.

Any DIY er knows concert/cement hardens through chemical reaction not air exposure. Take a blob of wet concrete and drop it underwater or in a closed circuit and it will harden like a rock just as if exposed to air. It also gets very hot in the hardening process. So wtf, were you for real?

Initially I thought they would just fill the case with concrete and let it harden and then use it as the heaviest PC cooling block ever(!).

If you add salt to the mixture (actually not much is needed) the concrete never hardens out. That would obviously solve the problem when turning off the system.
