Ben Goacher - Where do I sign up to work there? I’ll be a janitor if I need too. I just want to explore this beautiful area. Especially before global warming changes it for good..

It's utterly remarkable. Consistently some of the best documentary filmmaking and journalism being produced today.

Show directors who want our money: Phew! Huge sigh of relief. Well done, Jim. You pulled that one out of the bag. None of our feminist builders or architects will be frustrated now.

I just feel like this video was a promotional commercial for the project and for BAM. It didn't really get into the building aspect of it very much. Also I was hoping they would cover more information on how they're protecting the surrounding environment seeing that it's Antarctica and all.

I beg to Baffinland Iron Mines! Most northern mine in the world and they are literally moving magnetic north! They ship out 15 million tons a season of 70% pure iron ore! It’s so rich you can take a blow torch and fuse the ore together. I sell an insane amount of stuff to them.

There are too many vanity projects in Antarctica where I suspect the ultimate aim is gaining hegemony over resources that are discovered not the scientific knowledge “on the surface”. It would make a lot more sense to run international projects where construction and materials sourcing involved Southern Hemisphere countries to avoid the obvious nonsense of transporting construction modules from Southhampton to Antarctica and many other inefficiencies.
