I'd give a sin for the Reliant not noticing that there was a planet missing from the system. "Ceti Alpha Six exploded 6 months after we were left here."

Honestly Spock does do the "remember" thing to McCoy so the whole "if this movie does well" bit doesn't quite wash.

The film's most famous (imitated) moment is Kirk play-acting to trick Khan. (That's Khaaaaaaan!! to you.) He's in character and in universe over-acting. It makes actual sense.  I love 'Everything Wrong With...' but you can trim off the pile-ons and still have a great show.

11:58 - Why is David allowed to just wander onto the bridge, especially since he had previously attacked Kirk with a knife?

Cinema Sins: 8:36 is actually the one scene inspiration for Predator. Not sure if you knew that, at least one of the major aspects of that movie series.

Cinema Sins - the reason is this: In the televised version of Star Trek 2 Wrath of Kahn, the T.V. network actually added several minutes of cut footage. That's more than the added footage for the director's cut. BUT when the show went to the theaters (and yes, the movie was televised FIRST before the theaters, it was something they did in the 80s), they cut the entire scene out where Mr Scott talked about his newphew.

You need to add a sin for them doing that.

The opening sequence was added because GENE FUCKING RODDENBERRY leaked that Spock dies in the movie because Roddenberry was pissed at being removed from power. He was removed because STTMP was so bad and over budget. They added that to the beginning as misdirection.

ILM’s simple, practical special effects were beautiful to see. I am so tired of the boring, mind numbing CGI crap in movies today. I wish that todays filmmakers would learn that sometimes less is more.

I stopped watching it years ago due to its increasing use of unimaginative cliches and contrived, incorrect sins. Unfortunately, I did not unsubscribe. That sin was on me. Then I saw they took on one of the greatest films ever and I clicked on, just to see how they rationalized fifteen minutes of sins in a near perfect film. That was my second sin. All of that is on me. However, as soon as I submit this comment, I will unsubscribe from this channel. That is all on you CinemaSins. Bye now.
