The Croc That Ran on Hooves

  • Our Pocket Shirt!:

In the Eocene Epoch, there was a reptile that had teeth equipped for biting through flesh, its hind legs were a lot longer than its front legs and instead of claws, its toes were each capped with hooves. How did this living nightmare come to evolve?

It probably could've been bipedal, since looking at other discoveries, the real thing could actually be a lot chubbier than we thought. Maybe its tail was fatter and kinda stiff?

All I could think of while watching this was a video from my favorite suggestion-based drawing channel where the very first drawing was a crocodile horse. It was surprisingly close in concept...

For anyone interested, the video is called "The Ultimate Animal Hybrid (ft. Katie Marovitch)"

Anyways, I asked _when_ did "dinosaurs" become "birds". And why do we even call them like that if they're the same as you say? Why do we need a new name (bird) for something that already had a name?

The crocs that were able to use their legs to launch forward got more pray. Eventually, they evolve better legs that were able to run after the pray.

When I saw those rear legs under its body, I thought that baby can run, and how it could catch me. Belly scrubbing crocodiles, and ilk that stay in the water constantly make me wonder why they didn't evolve flippers like liopleurodon.
