Neil deGrasse Tyson = Bill Nye = fake scientist
        *SCIENCE is a RELIGION*
Fourteen billion years ago there was NOTHING, and it exploded into all we see. After a bunch of stuff happened, NONE of which we have math for yet, planets and galaxies coalesced in their infinite (but also expanding) vacuum – then our lucky planet formed in the perfect goldilocks position while furiously spinning on a tiled axis at 1,000mph around a giant blazing ball of gas BILLIONS of years old itself flying at 67,000 mph through our giant galaxy that’s going 500 MILLION mph into NOTHINGNESS. Earth was just chilling and spinning there for a while before suddenly out of nowhere, with math we don’t have yet, inert matter turned into single-celled organisms which for no apparent reason just divided, reorganized, and self-replicated, becoming complex multicellular life that then morphed slowly into fish and – fast forward while our nuclear furnace sun rays perfectly stable heating us just right from 97 MILLION miles away – big simple dinosaurs appear, then apes, who turned into tiny smart people. All by accident, on a random spinning rock moving in multiple directions at once and at incredible speeds. All this you believe as you sit here, perfectly still.
        And that’s science!

His answer to the question on why we should focus on space when there's poverty and problems here on earth, shows how dumb that question really is.

Dr Tyson is the ONLY Scientist to refer to dark matter as the GRAVITY we measure out there instead of calling it matter. The fact is we only know it is unaccounted for gravity. Stating dark matter is 85% of matter we don't understand is misleading, and it may be why we can't figure out to determines its nature...

I find this amusing. Neil is bothered by condensed version 're-tweeting' of his Twitter 'tweets'. The superior intellect humbled by the constraints of social media information exchange. I believe Neil is the type of person that carefully constructs his responses. Accuracy is an objective that is inescapable to a Scientist/Engineer/Astrophysicist where everything is calculated. Twitter is a mine field of badly deconstructed interpretation. 'Don't mis-re-tweet me man!' 😆

I hate to say I'm a spitual person, but I believe in God. If you believe you know the intentions of an all powerful being who created the universe, you are extremely hubristic.

I like how much he loves his stuff like look how joyful he is just discussing his field, answering questions, shedding knowledge on matters. Cool stuff. I know nothinf about the stars or physics but I can appreciate it all. In NYC we have the Museum of Natural History & in that museum is a space exhibit center just inside the rose garden and its beautiful there. It houses a giant sphere and if were to walk a ramp to that sphere and enter you would find a place much like a movie theater and in this spherical theater you can sit on one of its many seats and there used to be a documentary educational reel they would display on the planets, stars etc and I forget if it was voiced and narrated by Oprah Winfrey ?, Morgan Freedman ? Or Whoopi Goldberg but it was one of them I believe.
The whole experience is amazing and did I mention the interior half or quarter portion of the sphere is the screen so when you watch the reel its as if you are in space or right there or the stars are above you. I really enjoyed that.
