Just watched this series and I think this game was basically Misfortune dying at the start, then Morgo was basically Satan, trying to get her to come to hell but Benjamin was like a guardian angel kind of? Trying to instead make her go to heaven, and they do this with all of the missing kids I think. Or maybe, Morgo takes away kids who have miserable lives, promising them Eternal Happiness which is just death and there is no real Eternal Happiness, just him treating the children like dolls/toys and that was his intention with Misfortune too. His only problem was Benjamin getting in the way in trying to save her from going to hell and the job as the player was to I guess make her be happy as much as possible before knowing the truth, I guess essentially letting her have nice final moments? Which is why mr. Voice/Morgo said at phantomogosia (???) was like "hey let her have some fun so she doesn't get super sus or smth" to the player. Even if she was already dead, she didn't know it and went through purgatory? But now I'm confused bc if she was already dead, how come those other kids that were missing & Hiro were the same as the mother and police officer at the end? Shouldn't they have been solid or something? idk ive been rambling lmao oops

Benjamin is my favorite character

i like (and dont like) how they hint but dont outright say that Misfortune was killed by her incredibly bad dad, all that says this were the skid marks leading from the car and you wouldnt see them (like jack) because your eyes would be on her poor little body, its little things like that that make visual story telling great.

Series Suggestion: Maybe a Metal Gear Solid continuation?

I’ve always been bummed out about it not continuing. I was really hoping to see the franchise (at least MGS 1 - 4) be played, especially by a real MGS fan. I really miss those games and can’t play them myself these days, so I was honestly disappointed. It happens, so no worries, but just a suggestion.

Jack you missed one sparkle and one doll. I think it was in the Phantasmagoria that you missed the sparkle. I think the crystals were the sparkles you activated, since there was more crystals than dolls. ^^

Jack, if you had gotten all the sparkles, you’d unlock an ending. All of Misfortune’s sparkles go to her mom and she takes off her mask. Her heart becomes like Misfortune’s. It’s a really sweet ending

Just realizing when she was running with the fox and the dog and all the animals and dead things that showed up some of them or from Fran bow like the beetle Pig and the hare head lady things that you had the comb their hair

I just realised the missing Asian kid with the cowboy hat is probably Hiro, Misfortune's Japanese ghost friend.

Also if you hadn't realised yet it is impossible for Benjamin to have taken the eternal happiness in the last episode since his handwriting is really bad and he may not even be fully literate. However, the note in the box was well articulated with neat handwriting, Mr. Voice wrote it to frame Benjamin.

Lastly something really interesting happens when you try the fortune telling the maximum number of times and I think Jack should try it? Along with the other choices he didn't do, like setting the dog free(has interesting consequences), feeding the fish to the kraken, and especially not stopping the violence between hamsters; if you ignore the fight, you can go into the party(Jack if you do this you might want to bring the unicorn :) )

Yeah that's basically my thoughts on the series, I really love it! If you agree with the stuff up top then like so Jack sees!

Edit: he should also go get that doll he missed haha, and read Benjamin's diary because there's lots of lore there.

BTW you got the bad ending an order to get the good ending you have to get all the sprinkle and now you see you messed one so it would get the bad ending if you got all of them you'll get to the secret ending or happy ending and you'll get all the sparkles to your mom and she revels her face

something interesting i noticed... the fairy boat whom takes you across the river is a direct reference to Greek and Roman mythology. The ancient Greek and Romans would bury there dead with coins so they could pay the fairy to take them to what they called hates (the underworld) which is where everybody went, good or bad person.
