US Fed gov f#[email protected]'s up everything. Privatized education is the way. Funny thing is 98% of American's did not vote for the candidate pledging to fix this in 2016.

I had an English teacher who would lower grades based on technicalities in high school. Never gave out perfect scores. We figured she did that to keep general averages from raising to much year to year. It was infuriating.

The whole “don’t discuss the contents of your test” thing is probably the least followed school rule, second only to the dress code

In all the different schools I have been to I have never once had a rally or been shown a video or have had a pep talk to let us no we can do it all I've ever had is teachers drilling me and my peers about how every test we take determines whether or not we succeed whether or not we have a good future if you can't pass the test and your grades drop then *you* should have studied more *you* should have practiced more we have never heard encouragement we've never received remorse or sympathy all we've ever gotten are were lectures about how much this matters and how much we must succeed and how bad it will be if we don't and then we we have rallies and meetings when our scores saying we're not good enough and we need to *do* better we need to *try* harder

I can confirm our teachers told us "if you vomit on your testing device it will be placed in a plastic bag, and sent off to be reset, and you will take the test again"

I think they should take their own test and place them to be scored amongst everyone elses ... So they can see how that shit really feels it sucks to have studied and studied for weeks( hell months when i get to high school) for this dumb ass test then for it to be irritating and confusing at times ah yeah and it tells you that your the dumb one

Americans have nothing to complain about. Ten tests a year is nothing. You only have like 7 subjects, just shut up and appreciate how easy your education system is. Thnx.

If you are wandering if Person company has changed, I can tell you they haven't. I ran into every single issue that was brought up in this video. I passed one test after the first software I was working on was bugged and this was for AutoCad Professional. The second one I could never take as the testing software never worked after 4 attempts this one was for Revit. No one in this company know anything about the test they give out. I have given up on it as I don't really need the certification as I have work experience. I'm still waiting for my refund as they only do it by check and the first one they spelled my name wrong. Biggest joke of company I have ever seen.

When my son was in high school, each grade was required to take a standardized test. They actually had them take a 3 week class to get prepared for the test. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous.

The problem with standardized testing goes even deeper than a lot of people realize in the issue of unintended consequences. One of the ugly realities that hit my rural high school was the fact that if a certain percentage of students don't take the test or attend school to take the test, for whatever reason, it gets marked as a failure for the school. Two failures for a school meant the government would step in and take over the school's curriculum and other things and a number of teachers employed could get dismissed. My high school failed one year because of the number of students who didn't appear to take the test, even though the ones who did made the overall average pretty good.
The next year our principal wasn't shy about informing teachers and students about the stakes of the testing that year, what it would mean for the faculty and staff...and he hinted that if enough students showed up for the test to get them off the hook, then we'd be given a day off or an event would be held or something like that. The day of the testing came and went and then everyone was told the principal wasn't going to do anything special for the event, he just teased everyone with a carrot so that enough people would show up. That principal didn't last much longer at that school.

I also got some weird flashbacks to when my sewing teacher taught us to work in an assembly line for an entire semester. Don't know why that was brought forth from the pit of repression.

I did really well with English and Science. But, I always had problems with Math. That's not my strongest subject at all. I failed it numerous times until my junior year cause I needed it to graduate. My school forced me to go to a few Saturday "programs" for Math. I passed by one question above the minimum. Standardized tests are shit... I felt like shit when I nearly lost my chance to graduate.
