Does not need a THROWBACK-STYLE point guard on the 1st Unit. 😀😀
Needs a Fred Van Vleet-type scoring guard at the 1-spot.

1st let me start by saying I'm 38 years young and I grow up watching Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant play the game of basketball. LeBron James is the best individual basketball player I've ever seen, this dude is phenomenal on the court, when you talk about a player that is efficient in every area of the game you have to put LBJ at the top of the list. If your a fan of basketball fundamentals, you have to appreciate this guy. Greatest of all time!

Nobody wants to admit that there's *SO MANY* factors outside of one great player that go into a franchise winning a championship or championships. The main one being luck. Not to make light of the deaths of Bias and Benji, but Michael Jordan is lucky he didn't have to face either in the NBA.

Michael hit the game winning shot for the Tar Heals, but everyone knew the star of the show in UNC was James Worthy. With Worthy making NBA money in Tinsel Town, Jordan and the Tar Heals failed to even reach the Final Four his last two years. I guess the equivalent on the flip side would be LeBron and Z failing to see the playoffs in LeBron's rookie and sophomore years. But my counter argument to this was that Michael was in college while LeBron entered the draft straight from high school.

Speaking of the draft..... With the first overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft the Houston Rockets select Hakeem Olajuwon. The Portland Trailblazers select Sam Bowie. Jordan was drafted third overall while LeBron was drafted first. Ok, ok, I know, I know. Different era. Big man's league. Rougher defenses. Yada, yada, yada. But ultimately what did Jordan do with his college experience in the NBA? Not much.

It wasn't until the Bulls got Scottie Pippen and drafted Horace Grant and most importantly got Uncle Phil until they shown greatness. Michael Jordan was a *GREAT* player. He willed his Bulls to three championships. But it just so happened that he actually had a great team and him as well. Scottie was no joke, Grant grabbed boards and steals, plus no coach knew how to defend Phil's triangle yet. But what if...

What if Houston or Portland could've seen the potential in Michael Jordan? Would he still have been 6 for 6? What if Benji and Bias developed into formidable competition like the world predicted? Would the Jumpman logo and Air Jordan brands still exists? What if his gambling habits didn't force him into money league baseball? Would he be 8 for 8? What if?

What if Cleveland actually put talent around LeBron (or built an O-Line across town... different argument)? What if Boston's Big 3 never came to be? What if Cleveland didn't trade Big Ben and Sasha away for an old and out of shape Shaq? What if he had any other opponent besides the dynasty Spurs? What if Gibson would've developed into the skill level of Kyrie like some thought he would? What if he never left home? What if Miami handed him the keys to the bus from day one? I'm not doing a what if for 2014 because it's the Spurs and I have nothing but respect for them. What if Kyrie and Love didn't get injured in the same playoff run? What if?

I know this is lengthy and I somewhat apologize for that, but there is a point to this madness. The point is that there is a lot more than just one great player that goes into winning championships. Put LeBron on the Bulls at 20 years old, I believe the results would be roughly the same, if not, better because LeBron wouldn't have left for a year and a half. While if you put Michael Jordan on the Cavs at the age of 18, again I believe the results would've been roughly the same. I believe Jordan would've tried getting out or eventually leaving. The difference so far being longevity.

That is the reason why I say that LeBron is better than Michael. LeBron started dominating at all earlier age and has not only maintained, but this year seems to have gotten better. That and his physical attributes as well. LeBron is bigger, stronger, faster, longer wingspan, weighs more, he's got all the talents, if not, more only in a bigger frame. LeBron is The Million Dollar Man Steve Austin compared to most NBA players before and after him. Jordan *was* the 🐐, LeBron *is* the 🐐.

And I hope that while LeBron is still in the league a new 🐐 will arise, but judging from the past, probably not.

                                                                          • Rouge Dions
