I love your videos Scotty and appreciate your pragmatic approach and real world insights but having been a Mercedes and Peugeot mechanic I would politely disagree with you about Peugeot. Yes Renault makes crap - they have only two cars (the R4 and R5) worthy of consideration IF you were a mechanic and could sort them out yourself. The Peugeot 203/304 was an excellent modern design that was easy to work on, highly reliable and long lived if prone to rusting as most cars of the era were- my last one went 550,00KM! The 404/504 were excellent durable cars and the 205 was absolutely brilliant. I never found manuals, parts particularly expensive or difficult to get.

I can't comment on the latest designs and whether it makes sense for them to relaunch here ... I suspect you might be right.

Why do I need TV or Netflix or Hulu...this is hilarious entertainment and I learn something at the same time. LOL! Going to other people's houses and watching their drama is always more entertaining then your own!

Without fear of being wrong, In European brands PSA is the company that leads in terms of quality and long-term durability (Peugeot - Citroen, and now Opel-Vauxhall) And the only one who did not mined pollution figures.

Peugeot dont need the US market, it's the second car manufacturer in Europe and has billions of profits all over the world without selling cars in USA. They made a miracle with Opel what the Americans can do. Now the Americans cars look like Japanese corean and European cars so so it's easy for Peugeot to win a part of US market

They arent junky, they are probably Better built Than most US cars.
All that said their design is a bit boring lately, they were at their best in the late 90s, they should hire pininfarina again because their cars looks like KIAs, which is not good.

Peugeot’s were famously reliable here in Oz during the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. South Africans valued them for the same reasons. The new ones should be as good as any other euro car, so maybe they shouldn’t be discounted immediately. 😊

I could have gotten a $250 Dewalt impact driver, but since I'll only use it every year-and-a-half, I can count on the battery dying long before the rest of it has gotten much use; instead I got a $100 piece of junk with the same torque rating, but because it is plug-in, it will probably outlast me. Back in 1986, I bought an $80 Alltrade table saw from "Two Guys" discount store in Marlboro, MA; the thing smelled like burnt plastic, sounded like a can of metal shavings and rang like a bell for 15 seconds whenever you shut it off. I thought it would be destroyed in a year or two, but it's still going without a hint of trouble and the cranks still work well enough to do perfect compount miters. It was worth riskng the loss of $80 to find a bragain like that.

Peugeot/Citröen is still way better than Chrysler and GM, and also french have high standarts in security, unlike GM and their chinese cars.
Nowadays no matter what brand you buy, the cars are made with cheap plastic or thin steel sheets in best case scenario. Some even are expensive, like Jeep or BMW with stupid plastic water pumps.
I have a Citröen, with Denso Parts, Toyota's, some LuK and so on. Is some kind of "orgy" between companies that produce cars nowadays. This particular car is reliable, a C-Elysee. But some cars with the same brand are poor made, no matter the price, so as customers we need to assess the things before buying it.
