Behind the Curtain, with a screen name like yours, it doesn’t seem anything you say would be trustworthy...

Why do all you dudes have to talk about GoT when we should just be talking about what this video is about and backing in BBs glory. Its just people who need to justify their opinions with other like minded drones. I love both series, probably breaking bad more.

The only thing I noticed is that meth was becoming more popular than marijuana around the time the show came on and it's still going on as we speak

4:10 this is one of those things you seem to so consistently find in great writing, things driven by something that makes sense rather than something that makes it conveniently go in such a direction. I feel like that 'crows took the money now I gotta make more meth' example is great

How did the pants get into the air BEFORE Walt drove over it? I always assumed they were Walts pants.

The opening scene of the first episode blew my mind. The pants, the gas masks, the dead bodies. Everything. The moment the intro played I was like “Yup, this show is a masterpiece.” ❤️👍🦁🙏

This show is what killed the..."middle movie"

For one...ticket prices are crazy and a majority of adults aren't looking to spend on average of 30 bucks to watch a drama on the big screen unless it involves some kinda spectacle or gimmick.

Then Breaking Bad dropped this epic story that couldn't have been done justice with a movie, while basically outclassing most movies in character, story, writing and acting.

14 of the greatest years of dramatic television were: beginning with THE SOPRANOS 1999 & concluding with BREAKING BAD 2013. Since then there have been some noteworthy moments (i.e., GAME OF THRONES although many have felt that it did not quite go the distance. No opinion from me here since I have yet to view Season 8 but there were many good moments prior to that. DOWNTON ABBEY & OUTLANDER are often well worth exploring as well.

There's more creativity in 1 or 2 episodes of breaking bad than the average blockbuster movie. Total joke how blockbusters are recycling the same shit over and over, complete lack of creativity in the industry.

I watched maybe the first couple of seasons of Breaking Bad. It is well done and one can sense the quality of it. The acting is great. But I didn't think it was awesome entertainment. Way above average, no doubt. I'll give it another chance one of these days. I'm never one to dismiss a popular tv show merely because it is popular.

As a side note, it is claimed that no tv show before allowed a character to change. That isn't true. I'm sure there are many examples. The one that comes to mind is Heroes. The character Sylar changes in an intriguing way. Lost also showed major character shifts.

If I were to praise one of the best series in recent years, I might point to The Young Pope. The writing for that show at times is awesome. The ideas also have great depth.

What I love about the show is that it reviews many social structures and situations everyone can relate to, without it drowning out the meat and potatos of the characters or writing. Right off the bat, we see how much of a party cuck Walter is, and how much of a hand up ass cunt Skylar is, (this to me reflected most of humanity), the culture within the legal system (Hanks perspective) the street life (Jesse) and so many other examples that made the story grounded, without getting bogged down by overbearing details. I didn't watch the show when it first aired because I don't want to wait a week for a new episode, so I wait for it to come out. When I started watching this show on Netflix, I stayed up all night because I couldn't stop watching. I've never done that for a TV show ever.
