              pi-( anti-up;down).
              In this animation there are anti-up;up and anti-down;down.

                        So quarks are held together by the exchange of gluons. And protons attract each other by exchanging photons. Then now I am wondering: in a simple helium nucleus containing two protons and two neutrons, how many photons and gluons are exchanged per second? It's kinda fascinating to think of all these photons and gluons wizzing around in my body.

                            Okay, we know what happens when you pull quarks apart but what happens when you reverse the process and force them together?

                            If gravitation were to be strong enough to force a trio of up and down quarks together, what would happen? Would they form gluons after emitting a photon?

                              Something I hadn't realized before this video is that a proton and anti-proton will both have similar gluon structure - namely one gluon color paired with an anti-gluon color.

                                          Charge would be the simplest way to put it. You could ask the same thing about what does "positive" and "negative" really mean?? Ultimately nothing, there are two different and seemingly opposite states that particles can take on, one could just as easily call them "black" and "white", "hip" and "hop" or whatever you want, so long as you define them as distorting the EM field in opposite ways that results in forces being exchanged between particles of opposite and like charges.


                                          The "color" charge is similar except in this system there are 3 states the charge can take on and each results in various reactions in particles of other charges, we just need a name for each charge, could just as easily call them "rock", "paper" and "scissors".

                                          1. Gluons are not color-anti-color. The most simple eigenvectors of gluon field can be described as indivisible mix of colorA-anti-colorB and colorB-anti-colorA! There are total of 8 gluons, remaining ones involve square roots for their description.
                                          2. Mesons consist of same color and anticolor quark-antiquark
                                          3. Gluons cannot decay into pure mesons

                                                Sack Blubberd the way I interpret it, electric charge can have two values, while strong nuclear “charge”, i.e. colors, can have three values. In order for the strong nuclear forces to balance and remain neutral, you need one of each of the three colors.

                                                But thinking of it like electrical particles we can imagine electrical particles alone. Like electrons moving or ions etc. So why can't there be quarks alone (if nothing around would attract them)? Isn't there a way like electricity to separate them without applying that much energy? After all we also don't need that much energy for separating an electron or proton that it creates a new one.

                                                            Isotopes of hydrogen, tritium is radioactive. The existence of tritium undermines the credibility of strong nuclear force. The size of tritium's nucleus is only several femtometre but it is radioactive. Therefore this rules out the existence of strong nuclear force. If strong nuclear force exists then such small nucleus of tritium should be stable. But in reality it is radioactive. Einstein's famous equation, E=mc^2 is wrong otherwise garbage also can be used to make nuclear bombs as long as it is matter or it  has mass. Energy and matter can't  interchange one another according to Einstein's famous equation. One must have photons before one can emit out photons. Photons are particles and they have mass. All forms of EMWs including light and heat are dynamic photons per volume per time in different saturations. This stresses that all phenomena must comply with the law of conservation of matter, the law of conservation of energy and the law of conservation of charge. Precisely, the intrinsic characteristics of particles can't be changed. Gamma ray can't produce electron-positron pairing in the vacuum . The occurrence of positron-electron pairing is very rare because antimatters are rare on earth. Positrons are discovered by Anderson on a mountaintop in California with the aid of a cloud chamber under intense sunlight. The energy of the sunlight is far below the one of within the nucleus. Therefore ejected positrons must be from electron-shell rather than the nucleus. Only negatively charged particles are confined within the electron-shell. Therefore positrons must also be negatively charged particles like those electrons. If positrons are positive charged, then they will be constantly repelled by nucleus in which they will constantly jump form atom to atom. But this is not the case. Thus, positrons mustn't be positively charged particles. But positrons have opposite magnetic configuration than the one of electrons. The only plausible explanation is that intrinsic spin direction of positrons is just the opposite of the one of electrons. At least we know now that gamma ray can't produce electron-positron pairing in the vacuum which implies that energy can't convert to particles because this violates the law of conservation  of energy and the law of conservation of matter. Likewise, matter also can't convert to energy.  The belief that gluon can split into a quark and its respective antiquark in assuming gamma ray can produce positron-electron is true has turned out to be wrong. The reverse process where a quark meets with antiquark will annihilate into a gluon is also wrong. Clearly particle physicists got their foundation wrong. If you are interested in real discoveries, I would recommend you to read my book, The Unification Theory - Volume One and you will be amazed with lots of new, interesting discoveries. I’m looking to go to college soon to pursue a degree in engineering physics hopefully with nuclear quantum and aerospace implications but by any chance do you have any ideas to a more specific path I should pursue to study quantum chromodynamics?

                                                                              It doesn't make sense to me how an exchange of particles such as gluons is the source of strong force. When you exchange particles, could they not just as push each other away as well as pull each other? Why particle model to describe force? How do we really know this is happening? Another thing that mystifies me is why does photons have certain momentum when interacting with matter but not with each other? I would appreciate someone giving me an explanation.
