Oh but no one cares about the MMs. I hate it when the CSs always complain about Reactor getting off early. Like bitch we make the ship move, it’s watch all the fucking time.

Navy does not sleep. They are always cooking and eating. When will they fight war? I wonder how will they cope in the war? Because they are so used to regular dosage of copious amount of delirious food. God save Trump. Poor devil does not even know how much of the food these sailors are eating every day.

3:00, those are each double cases of eggs, 12 flats / case = 8640 eggs. And that's "low"

i used to work in a kitchen at a big events centre, they had the same equipment, loved working in that kitchen but clean up was hell, they have a big drain in the centre to drain the water, but you have to tilt the pots sideways and have huge scrub brushes to swish the water that comes from hoses and soap to clean, ware rubber boots lol, and because i was the smallest sous chef, they made me climb in and scrub if burn stuff was stubborn, our kitchen had 4 lead chefs and 17 sous chefs, from prep to product came out of that kitchen and we won awards for our efforts, but to work on a ship daily at that pace would drive me nuts

01:38 that assembly line you see, that's S-2 Cargo division breaking out stores, and what you see here is nothing compared to what we endured on the Lincoln CVN-72 (an aircraft carrier). So many ladderwells below decks and p-ways to go through. It was like at least a 20 man operation per storeroom. Our stores took the entire day to break out and sometimes you're passing up 100 lb boxes of frozen beef up those ladderwells.

The food was disgusting like those "Italian beans" on my ship. Tobasco ( no other hot sauce available in those days) was required on everything. Loading on Grade D meat during supply replenishment didn't help, to the point I was sneaking the Marine's MREs into the Bosn's locker( my apologies to the marines, I respect and trust you devil dogs more than I would ever trust a sailor) or spending most of my paycheck on microwaved food from the ship's store. First ship was an amphib similiar to this. Circa 2000-2006. And don't get me started on that dumb FSA duty. I would say careful, because sometimes they save the best food for "Grip N Grins" either with civilians visiting or Admirals.

I served in the U.S. Air Force for five years, straight out of high school. Most of the dining halls on the bases where I served had surprisingly good chow. But the very best meals could nearly always be found in the dining room at the base hospital. My buddies and I would head over there on the weekends for dinner, and the food was comparable to that of a decent restaurant.

I was a Messman specialist, meaning the same as these guys in the video. Looking back I really hated going out to sea for months and months at a time wile working 12 hrs. on and 12 hrs. off 7 days a week till we hit port but now looking back I kind of miss it. She was a great ship and had a great crew. I hear she is going to be dismantled. Would have preferred she would have become a museum. R.I.P. Enterprise
