Since my living room OLED TV has become the PRIMARY gaming display in my house, I decided that I HAD to see if a BFGD from ASUS could replace my trusty OLED.

What keyboard/mouse setup is that? I hooked up my gaming PC to my 65 inch LG C9. Currently I use a wireless keyboard and a wireless mmo naga mouse. The problem is what to rest my mouse on. I have been using the arm of the couch. I prefer to sit on the left side of my couch but since I am right handed I am forced to sit on the right side of the couch. I saw your keyboard/mouse set up and thought it might be a solution. Thank you.

Edit: I paused the video the moment I saw your keyboard/mouse set up and posted the above comment. After posting the comment I played the remainder of the video. Near the end you lifted up the keyboard. I paused it and barely got the name, Roccat. I Googled it which lead me to similar keyboard/mouse set ups. I am ordering one off of Amazon now. I can’t thank you enough. You have significantly improved my gaming experience. Thank you, sir!!! You have earned a new subscriber.

Edit 2: If anyone is interested I purchased the Corsair K63 because it is wireless.

Man... I can't be the only one who knows how BADLY we need a Switch Pro am I?? We NEED a more powerful Switch that uses actual newer Nvidia tech that is capable of 4K for at least simpler games. I honestly don't expect reliable frame rate 4K for the super complex games like you'd see on PS5, but for simpler Eshop stuff, 4K should be absolutely doable with a hardware upgrade to the Switch.

So the first boneheaded thing should be obvious. Why in the hell did they even bother removing the built in Nvidia Shield in the first place?? For such a high end display, it seems like it really shouldn't be a big deal to include such a thing, and would probably be a very nice selling point in fact. I don't understand it. Why cut costs on a device that is clearly ultra premium?

So it has variable refresh rate & no analog inputs.... You sure it isn't just a re-badged Samsung 8000 series?

I wonder if any of the HDMI ports support HDMI ARC. Then you could have Displayport -> TV -> HDMI ARC -> Reciever to get audio to the AV.

First of all, you NEVER EVER sit that close to ANY monitor or television of that size. The recommended seating should be MINIMUM 6 to 10 feet AWAY from the monitor or television. Second, the so-called artifacts you noticed around the borders can also happen by default, which can be corrected by UPGRADING YOUR VIDEO CARD AND MONITOR DRIVERS.
And you should ALWAYS set the default of the resolution to the maximum native, which you may have to also increase the DPI font/scaling settings to 125 percent. That size of monitor is recommended for a gaming/media room where your desk is going to be AT LEAST 6 feet away.

That is horrible for your eyes to be sitting that close to any monitor of that size. And kudos on forgetting to plug in the monitor and putting the cord threader/holder upside down. LOL. Maybe you need to slow down and take the time to actually read the diagram and instructions and make sure all your settings and drivers are maximized, optimized and current. Many consumers and tech gurus seem to be lost on all of this. I have to give you a thumbs down on this video."

I built a gaming PC a few years ago and got myself an amazing Samsung QLED a few years ago to go with it. I had to upgrade my Onkyo system to a new receiver since it did not handle 4k throughput. Well I ran into a lot of issues getting the throughput to work correctly like screen dropping picture and so I ended up having to split my connection into a direct connection to the TV with HDMI and then a 2nd connection to the Onkyo for sound. I just had a phantom second screen running and set it to 720p (which is apparently the smallest resolution you can use for HD audio, learned something new) and havent had any issues since. I also tried windows HDR which changed a few times within the last few feature updates but overall found it does not do a great job and also have heard you shouldnt use HDR if your TV is able to be set to have the picture in HDR mode already otherwise its like its trying to apply adjust for 2 layers of HDR which of course looks horrible. The only software I got working to take advantage of HDR correctly was a plugin for video players called MadVR and use it with Pots palyer. Picture looks incredible once everything is FINALLY working... new tech is a challenge to get working 100% and most people probably dont or wont even know they arent even seeing the best picture they can. I also found huge limitations with sound quality to, like never use Arc from TV, always go direct to the source otherwise your limited to 5.1 and the output is definitely altered compared to a direct connection.
