side deflectors reduce drag on the trailer. if your pulling the top scoop off, no need to worry about fuel savings...just be a pain to get up to cat walk w/o grab handles tho

The upper faring and cab extensions work best together. It's fine to leave the extensions on, but not sure how much it'll help areo without the top faring. Wouldn't do any harm if you want to leave them for aesthetics.

Dude hope you have a very deep wallet lol! New rubber, new bearings and brakes, probably alot of electrical and airlines etc; get the fairing off! New exhaust system. Drain and flush everything including the fuel tanks and radiator. The worst part is that i am sure it wasn’t sitting in the field with no mice invading it that could suck! But yeah man you got a project I always wanted to do that but it would be expensive and time consuming I guess it depends on how far you wanna go with it

You can leave the flanges on if you want or take them off. If you remove them obviously it will give you more room to turn without touching the trailer. I personally would more than likely leave them on.

Leave the sides on. There are still quite a few trucks with deflectors on the sides on them today. It’s dying though but personally I’d think that because it’s an old truck, have originality to it.
